New Province Match Secretary

Andy Carr (Civil Service CC) has agreed to take on the role of NE Province Match Secretary. Andy will take over with immediate effect.

Peter Malcolm says "It has been a pleasure to perform the Match Secretary role for the past few years - thanks for all your support. I'm sure you will all help to make Andy's job as easy as possible. Hopefully I will continue to meet some of you - curling at other venues, or on visits back to Aberdeen."

Curling outdoors in Aberdeen !!

My girls and I enjoyed the experience of being able to curl outdoors on the Duthie Park boating pond, adjacent to Riverside Drive, in near perfect conditions last Wednesday afternoon.

.

Usually this pond is full of debris when it is frozen but if similar conditions arise I'll mark some circles and try and get some others along with their stones.

Winter League - Champions

Having collected some scorecards this evening I have updated the league table and can confirm Bill Rodger and his team comprising Mark Coutts, Ian McKay, George Stevenson & Jean Cresdee are the Winter League Champions with 24 points having won 12 out of 16 games.

The runner up will be decided in due course after the two outstanding games are played which were postponed due to the heavy snow last month.

The league table as it stands at present can be found here.
