Season 2018/19

Welcome Brother and Sister Curlers to the new Season.

The clubs first games are on Tuesday 25 September at 6.15pm. There will be a Skips Meeting held afterwards at 8.30pm. All Winter Skips are required to attend.

Please support the Club as best you can and regularly check this website and club notice board for news, updates, results and all competition information.

Good curling to you all.

There will be no more posts until late August when the 2018/19 season information will be uploaded. The club can still be contacted any time via email.

In the meantime new member enquiries for next season are most welcome.

AGM Reminder

The Annual General Meeting and prize giving will be held in the Curl Aberdeen lounge on Tuesday 24 April at 7pm.

Results - John Geddes Bonspiel

The sixth Aberdeen v Rotary Bonspiel was held this evening to commemorate the late John Geddes, foster relations between the two clubs and close the season.

There were 6 teams from both clubs on the ice playing 2 short games each - 2 points were awarded for a win, 1 for a peel.

The final score was Rotary 13 Aberdeen 11. It was close only 1 win separated the clubs.

2nd : B Black, S Burnett, M Forster, W Taylor (Rotary)
3rd : C Forbes, F Taylor, N Marshall, J Johnston (Aberdeen + 1 Ugie)

Results - Curl Aberdeen Mixed Doubles Bonspiel

Aberdeen CC was well represented at yesterday's Bonspiel making up 3 of the 12 teams. Fiona & John Glascodine, Alison Dunbar, Norman Bruce and Marie & Graeme Fisher all entered.

After 4 games of 4 ends Team Fisher finished top of the table with 3 wins and 10 ends. Along the way they scored the Mixed Doubles equivalent of an '8-ender', a '6-ender'.

Honest this is not an April Fool.......

 

 

 

Curl Aberdeen propose to hold a Mixed Doubles League next season to be played on a Sunday. There is a sign up sheet on their notice board.
